Boris Johnson apologises for attending a party in the Downing Street garden during lockdown

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is facing questions from opposition MPs after it emerged 100 staff members were invited to a ‘bring your own booze’ party in May 2020.

An inquiry into a number of alleged breaches of Covid rules around socializing at No. 10 is underway.

Speaking in the House Of Commons, Boris Johnson repeatedly rejected calls his resignation

“I regret the way things happened on the evening in question and I apologise. But if I may say to him, I do think it would be better if he waited until the full conclusion of the inquiry, until the full facts are brought before this House Mr Speaker and he will then have an opportunity to put his points again”
