Brennan brothers put hotels on the market
The Brennan Brothers say it’s “bitter sweet” saying goodbye to the Park Hotel, but the time is right.
The five star Kenmare hotel has been put on the market along with the The Lansdowne for €20.5m.
John and Francis Brennan who are well-known for the television programme ‘At Your Service’, ran the Park Hotel for 37 years.
Francis says he contacted several guests who stayed at the hotel before the news broke.
“We’ve had great people over the years. I’ll always remember one year at Christmas time John Travolta came, and he danced with everybody on St Stephen’s night.
“We have loads of people that come every year, lovely lovely people.
“I rang most of them yesterday after 3pm just to say ‘listen, you’ll see this in the paper in the morning, and thanks for all your support over the years’.
“We move on, and we’ll still see those friends please God as the years pass.”
