British Astronaut Major Tim Peake Retiring From Role As Astronaut With European Space Agency

British Astronaut Major Tim Peake is retiring from his role as an astronaut with the European Space Agency.

He will take up an ambassador role instead – and will encourage young people to choose a career in science and technology.

He became the first British astronaut with the agency to visit the International Space Station in December 2015.
