British Government Will Only Sign Deal On Protocol If It Addresses DUP Concerns

The British government will only sign a deal on the protocol if it addresses DUP concerns.

That’s according to the country’s Foreign Secretary.

Efforts are ongoing between EU and British negotiators to strike a deal , which is hoped would lead to the restoration of devolved government in the North.

MPs have been ordered to be in the British Parliament on Monday – and there’s speculation it could be ahead of a vote on a new post-Brexit deal on Northern Ireland.

Nothing’s been confirmed as yet, and the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says “intensive discussions” with the EU are ongoing.

He’s previously told politicians they’ll get a chance to have their say on any agreement.
