Buildings In Cork City To Undergo Frequent ‘Visual Health Checks’ In Attempt to Battle Dereliction

Buildings in Cork City are to undergo frequent ‘visual health checks’ in an attempt to battle dereliction.

It’s hoped these latest efforts by the local Council will help breathe new life into the centre of the City.

The Irish Examiner reports planners have begun the process of ‘street by street’ inspections to identify potentially derelict properties.

Some property owners are now to receive a notice under the Derelict Sites Act with a list of works the local authority believes necessary to keep the property in good condition.
