Cabinet sub-committee to discuss shortage of refugee accommodation

The cabinet sub-committee on Ukraine is meeting this afternoon to try to find solutions to the Ukrainian refugee crisis.

The government has run out of accommodation, and 43 refugees were refused housing by the state on Friday and Saturday.

The Minister for European Affairs says work was ongoing all weekend to find more accommodation.

Thomas Byrne says Ireland won’t be refusing any Ukrainians entry, by putting a cap on the numbers.
