Canada’s Women’s Football Team Going On Strike Because Of Lack Of Funding And Pay Concerns

Canada’s women’s football team is going on strike because of a lack of funding and concerns over pay.

Captain Christine Sinclair says budget cuts will affect the Olympic champions’ ability to perform at this summer’s World Cup – so they’ll refuse to play until they’re addressed.

She claimed no one from Canada Soccer has spoken to players about their concerns – but the governing body later said meetings would take place today.
