Castletownbere Lifeboat called to assist vessel in West Cork following loss of power

Castletownbere lifeboat went to the assitance of a vessel that had lost power yesterday.

The fishing trawler was drifting betwen Dinish Island and Bere Island in West Cork.

The 30 metre vessel raised the alarm after experiencing mechanical failer, and the Castletownbere RNLI lifeboat Annette Hutton was tasked and launched immediately at 12.45pm.

The lifeboat was on the scene in then minutes and took the vessel under tow to Castletownbere harbour.
