Children Aged 12-15 Can Get Vaccinated Against Covid-19 At Walk-In Centres This Weekend
Children aged 12 to 15 will be able to get vaccinated against Covid-19 at walk-in centres around the country this weekend.
They need photo IDs and a parent or guardian to accompany them.
All the details of what’s needed can be found at HSE.ie.
City Hall is open to walk-ins of all ages from 1 o’clock to 4 today and tomorrow, where doses one and two of the Pfizer jab are available.
Parking for those getting vaccinated at City Hall is available in Q-Park at a reduced rate of 1 euro fifty, for one hour of parking.
Damian McCallion is the HSE’s national lead for the vaccination rollout – he hopes parents avail of the opportunity before schools return next week:
“We’re extending our walk-in weekend programme this weekend to include people aged 12 to 15 (young children), and we’re running those across the country, right throughout the weekend. So today, Saturday, we’ll be running 19 clinics across 17 counties, and a further 20 clinics, covering 18 counties on Sunday. And we’re hopeful that parents will see the opportunity to get young children vaccinated prior to a lot of the schools coming back next week, and we’re hoping that people will avail of that opportunity this weekend.”
