Chris Hipkins Set To Become Next New Zealand Prime Minister

It looks like Chris Hipkins will be New Zealand’s next prime minister.
He was the only candidate to enter the race to take over from Jacinda Ardern, who surprised many by saying she was resigning.
The 44-year-old used to be the minister for Covid and still needs the backing of his Labour Party colleagues in Parliament.
But that’s expected to be a formality on Sunday.
