Cinemas are expecting a massive boost in the last quarter of 2021.

Theatres are still only operating at 60 percent capacity but that will soon be lifted with the further easing of Covid restrictions in October.

There is also a build up of films as studios held off on releasing them over the last 18 months.

The long awaited James Bond film 'No Time To Die' - opening on September 30th - is the first blockbuster release since the pandemic began

Director of Omniplex Cinemas, Mark Anderson, says the next few months will be completely different for cinemas:

"This final quarter of 2021 is completely different. And starting with 'No Time To Die' which is opening on the 30th of September, there is just blockbuster after blockbuster coming out. It's gonna be. The release schedule is stacked like I've never seen it before and it's because studios still have a schedule for 2022 and onward and they need to release all of their movies from the last 18 months."
