Colin Healy – We need to be better against Galway United
Cork City boss Colin Healy says they’ll have to show a big improvement away to league leaders Galway United this week.
The Rebel Army surrendered their place at the top of the table to John Caulfield’s side this weekend, City being held to a 1-1 draw at home to an impressive Wexford side at Turner’s Cross, while Galway enjoyed a 3-0 win over Athlone Town.
City make the trip west to Eamonn Deacy Park on Friday night two points behind Galway at the top, and Healy says they’ll have to be better.
“We got a good goal through Kevin O’Connor, and conceded a softy goal from our point of view from the corner.
“You have to give credit to Wexford, they played well, they moved the ball quickly and caused us problems.
“It was just one of those games tonight, we weren’t at it, it was a difficult night for us, and maybe a point was a fair result.
“Galway are flying at the moment. It’s a tough place to go, they’re a very very good side. We’ll go up there with a very very good squad and try and win the game.
“We went up there last year with a young team and got a very good result, but Galway are a different team this year, they’re a powerful side and they’re a good side and we’ll have to be ready for it.”
