Cork City fire brigade respond to several incidents in the space of a few hours
Cork City fire brigade were kept busy yesterday evening as they responded to several incidents in the space of a few hours.
In a statement to RedFM News, the crew said they responded to a road traffic collision, a well developed house fire and several outdoor fires.
In the first incident, a motorcyclist was brought to CUH and treated for injuries after colliding with a car at around 6.30PM in Mayfield, shortly after one unit of the brigade responded to a gorse fire in Spring Lane at around 7PM.
Meanwhile the Fire Brigade were called to the scene of a housefire in the Rathcooney area at around 10 past 7 and were at the scene until 8.30PM, there were no injuries in the fire.
Crews were then alerted to their final callout when someone was burning rubbish in a building site on the Watercourse Road.
Cork City Fire Brigade say they worked with the National Ambulance Service and Gardaí to resolve all the incidents safely.
