Cork hotel forced to close after staff member tests positive for Covid-19
A hotel in Cork has been forced to close on a temporary basis after a member of staff tested positive for Covid-19.
The Gougane Barra Hotel has had to shut its doors for 10 days as a result.
In a statement on social media the hotel say that the fully vaccinated member of their team tested positive and is experiencing strong symptoms.
The staff member had multiple close contacts within the team.
The Gougane Barra Hotel say that they’ve had no choice but to close as they follow HSE advice, and that they hope to reopen on the 26th of September.
