Cork is under a status yellow rain warning until 7pm this evening
The adverse weather is having an impact on the roads with reports of flooding on Melbourn Road in Bishopstown and on the Straight Road city bound near the Lee Fields, spot flooding also reported between Midleton and Dungourney with the road impassable just after the rugby club on the Dungourney side
Earlier flooding was causing some difficulties for motorists near Brides Bridge at Castlelyons, on the Old Youghal Road near New Inn School and water was pooling at the bottom of Forge Hill
Drivers are being urged to exercise caution on the roads with poor driving conditions expected across the day along with localised flooding especially on minor routes
