Cork property prices rise by over 9%

Property prices in Cork and Kerry rose by 9.2% in the year to October.

That’s down from 9.5% in September, according to the CSO.

The residential property price index increased by 9.8% in the 12 months to October.

That’s a decrease on the year to September , when they increased 10.7%.

Prices in Dublin were up 8.3%, while outside the capital they went up by 11%.

There was a decrease of just under 1% in the number of homes sold in October, compared to the same month last year.

The median price of a home bought in the year to October was €300,000.

The lowest median price was €148,000 in Longford, while the highest was €620,000 in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
