Cork TD Hits Out At OPW Minister For Construction Delays On Glashaboy Flood Relief Scheme

Cork TD has hit out at the OPW Minister for construction delays on the Glashaboy Flood Relief Scheme.

The scheme for Glanmire was announced in 2016 with work slated to begin in June, however Deputy Thomas Gould told the Dáil that the project now faces further delays:

In 2016, this work was to be carried out at a cost of €8 million, €8 million. Now the work is being tendered at an expected €17 million. It’s actually criminal the cost, because of your mismanagement and because of this government’s dithering and failure to deliver flood relief for Glanmire”.
