Cork v Kerry set for Páirc Uí Rinn
The upcoming Munster Senior Football Championship match between Cork and Kerry looks set to be played at Pairc Ui Rinn.
Kerry’s County Board have agreed to travel to Cork for the game on May7th, following consultation with their players and management.
Munster Council had fixed the game for Killarney as Pairc Ui Chaoimh is not available due to Ed Sheeran concerts at the Leeside venue.
Cork insisted in recent weeks that they would only play in Pairc Ui Rinn and Kerry have agreed to that request, pending approval from Munster GAA.
The statement released this morning by Kerry GAA reads:
“The Executive of the Kerry County Board, following consultation with the Senior Football Team Management and subject to the approval of the Munster Council, has decided to accede to a request from Cork County Board to set aside for one year only (2022) the Home & Away agreement between the Counties in order that Páirc Uí Rinn may substitute for Páirc Uí Chaoimh as Cork’s ‘Home’ venue for this year’s Munster Senior Football Championship game.
