Cost Of Living Campaign: “Heating Or Eating – It Shouldn’t Be A Choice”
“Heating or eating – it shouldn’t be a choice.”
That’s the cry from people taking part in a cost of living protest in the city centre this hour.
Over three thousand people including local reps, the parents of children with disabilities, unions, students and the elderly gathered on Grand Parade to call on the government to do more to tackle to rising cost of living.
With ten days until the Budget, the organisers say they have no faith in the government’s ability to ease the crisis and are calling for utility companies such as the ESB to be nationalised.
