Defence Forces Monitoring Two Russian Ships Currently Off West Coast Of Ireland

The Defence Forces are monitoring two Russian ships currently off the west coast of Ireland.
The ships – which were involved in the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline – have returned to Irish waters, despite appearing to depart towards Africa earlier this week.
According to the Irish Times, they have the capability to interfere with underwater cables.
The Defence Forces says both the Air Corps and the Naval Service are aware of the vessels, and continue to monitor activity in Irish waters.
