Department of Equality needs to secure about 800 beds each week to house Ukrainian refugees arriving in Ireland

48,700 people have arrived in Ireland from Ukraine so far this year, with almost 60,000 expected by the end of 2022.

Accommodation camps that are waterproof and fully serviced such as the site in Millstreet will remain open, however outdoor facilities, including Gormanston Military Camp, will close by October.

85% of refugees are currently living in serviced accommodation such as hotels and student flats.
