Eirgrid will hold information days in Cork about their offshore energy plans.
It comes as offshore wind power is at the centre of the Governments Climate Action Plan to get 80% of energy from renewable sources by 2030.
Eirgrid say they will need to develop an offshore substation off the coast of Cork to achieve these plans set out by the Government.
The information evenings will be held in The Garryvoe Hotel on the 7th of June (12-8PM), the Walter Raleigh Hotel in Youghal on the 14th of June (12-8PM) and in Cobh Community Centre on the 20th of June (12-8PM).
