European Council sending Ukraine additional €1 billion

The European Council is sending Ukraine an additional €1 billion to help the country fight Russian forces.
The money is expected to cover “urgent needs” and to make sure critical infrastructure continues to operate.
Total financial support from the EU to Ukraine since the start of the war’s now reached €2.2 billion.
