Events Coordinator says more big acts should follow in the steps of Elton John and come to Cork
More big acts should follow in the steps of Elton John and come to Cork.
That’s according to an event coordinator who says that Pairc Ui Caoimh provides a great facility for concerts.
Sir Elton’s Farewell tour comes to the venue on Friday and organisers of the event are advising attendees to plan ahead and get there early.
Garda traffic management say that parking near the venue will not be possible and city car parks are the best option.
Speaking to RedFM News, Event Coordinator of Aiken Promotions, Jim Clarke, says Cork will see more big acts in the future:
“These people have agents. Agents have other acts, they can see the response from a city, to acts, and they could also see that there’s a fabulous facility here and and the success of the Marquee, for example, has brought artists when Elton John played the Marquee more than once. And that was a reflection of the audience, and the fact that he felt very much at home. In this environment, so we would anticipate that more acts will come to Cork.”
