Fears of flight cancellations at Dublin Airport

The focus at Dublin Airport has shifted from long security queues to fears of flight cancellations.

Several hundred flights have already been cancelled across Europe this weekend, including 16 Aer Lingus flights.

However there were improved queueing times for the most part yesterday.

Eoghan Corry of Air and Travel Magazine, says there may be more cancellations today.

“The emphasis has changed completely from security queue’s which worked really well yesterday., no more than 35 minutes… to flight cancellations. There are going to be a few of these, the question is, how disruptive, it will be for passengers, overall, some of them are caused by industrial relations abroad and some by Covid absences and all airlines, four or five airlines affected.”
