Former Ireland Rugby International Tom Tierney Passes Away Suddenly Aged 46

Former Ireland rugby international Tom Tierney has passed away suddenly, at the age of 46.

The scrum half made his debut in 1999, and made four appearances at the Rugby World Cup that year.

He’s held a number of coaching roles in the Ireland and Munster set-ups since his retirement from playing.

Munster Rugby says Tom was a great servant to the sport in Ireland, adding it’s shocked to hear of his passing.
