Free school books and childcare cost cuts expected in Budget 2023

Free school books, and a 20 to 25% cut in childcare costs, are among the measures to be included in the Budget.
Details were being finalised by cabinet until the early hours of this morning, and will be announced in full tomorrow.
Other measures include a doubling of child benefit in November, and a €200 tax credit payment for renters.
But political reporter with the Irish Times, Jack Horgan-Jones, says the final credit for renters could be even higher.
