GAA to investigate Galway Armagh brawl
An investigation into a brawl in yesterday’s All Ireland Senior football Quarter final is set to be launched by the GAA.
The large melee at the Galway versus Armagh game included players, subs, backroom staff and members of extended panels.
Galway player Damien Comer’s eye was apparently gouged during the encounter by a member of the Armagh panel.
It will be among a number of other incidents set to be investigated by the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee today.
You can see the incident in the video below.
Rian O'Neill keeps Armagh hopes alive with an 79th minute equaliser to force extra-time against Galway. An incredible fightback.
Violent scenes then erupt as the full-time whistle goes, including an apparent eye gouge, as the teams head for the tunnel. pic.twitter.com/KO6qbjHdRC
