Garda To Interview Relatives Of Baby Girl To Find Out How She Sustained Critical Injuries
Gardaí are to interview relatives of a baby girl to find out how she sustained critical injuries.
The nine-week-old baby is fighting for her life in hospital after an incident in Co Louth on Tuesday.
She sustained serious head and body injuries – and Gardaí have launched an investigation.
Chief reporter with the Irish Daily Mirror, John Hand, says Gardaí don’t believe the baby was hurt accidentally:
“Gardaí expect to interview the family members over the coming days. They have already spoken to them but there will be formal interviews carried out over the next couple of days as part of the investigation, and as part of Gardaí establishing what exactly happened and the facts of the case”.
