Garda Asking Public To Be Mindful Of Residents And Businesses As They Make Their Ways To And From Ed Sheeran Concerts

Gardaí are asking the public to be mindful of residents and businesses as they make their ways to and from the Ed Sheeran concerts.

35,000 fans are going to see the singer/songwriter in Páirc Uí Chaoimh tonight, in the first big outdoor gig in Cork in over two years.

The first act, Denise Chaila, is due on stage at around 6 o’clock., while Ed himself is expected to take to the stage at around 8.

Concert goers are being reminded to have their tickets downloaded and their phones fully charged for the fully-digital-ticket tour.

Speaking to RedFM, Inspector James Hallahan of the Garda Roads Policing Unit says people need to be respectful of the area around the concert:

“All we’re just asking people is to respect the area that they’re coming down through. Obviously, we want people to enjoy themselves: that goes with the concerts that are down here. But just be mindful of the fact that residents and businesses are in the area. And, again, just respect the area. We’d appreciate that very much”.
