Gardai investigating after man hospitalised following city assault

Gardai are investigating an alleged assault and criminal damage incident that occurred in the city last night that led to the hospitalisation of a man.
In a statement to RedFM News Gardai say that a man was injured in the course of the incident in the Knocknaheeny area of the city, and he was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment on his injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
