Government to commemorate signing of Good Friday Agreement
Last updated on
Cabinet will be updated this morning on plans to commemorate the Good Friday Agreement.
This year marks 25 years since the historic peace deal was signed.
Tánaiste Micheál Martin says a series of events are planned throughout the year, including a conference in Belfast.
The St Patrick’s Day trips abroad for ministers will also have a big focus on Good Friday.
Yesterday, the Taoiseach said the 25th anniversary isn’t being treated as a hard deadline for a deal on the Northern Ireland Protocol.
