Hamza Yousaf has been elected as the new leader of the Scottish National Party.
The vote was decided on second preference votes, with the health secretary narrowly beating Kate Forbes – and Ash Regan eliminated from that stage.
Mr Yousaf will become Scotland’s youngest first minister – but not until tomorrow.
He says he feels “humbled” to succeed Nicola Sturgeon.
“I also feel like the luckiest man in the world to be standing here as the leader of the SNP, a party I joined almost 20 years ago, and I love so dearly.”
