Housing Minister admits lifting evictions ban may lead to increase in homelessness in the short term

Darragh O’Brien says while it was a difficult decision, the government believes it will increase the number of landlords and help the market.
Opposition parties have slammed the decision with some Green Party TDs also strongly critical of the move.
