HSE urges people to get the latest Covid-19 Spring booster jab
The HSE is urging thousands of people to get the latest Covid-19 Spring booster jab.
Those aged over 70 and over 5 with a weak immune system is being advised to do so.
Vaccines are available at walk-in vaccination clinics around the country over the coming days and no appointment is needed.
HSE director of national health protection, Dr Eamonn O’Moore, says this latest booster will protect people from serious illness and boost their immunity:
“It’s really important because although levels of Covid at the moment are thankfully low, we are aware that we can get surges and infection. We know that we have to think ahead to the winter period when we may see another seasonal surge, and it’s really important that people get the vaccines that they’re recommended.”
