Hybrid Model Should Be Offered To Leaving Cert Students
A hybrid model of exams should be offered to Leaving Certificate students this year.
That’s according to Sinn Fein’s Donnchadh O Laoghaire, who says students should be given a choice between written exams and calculated grades.
Since schools have returned after Christmas, absences of up to 40% of children and staff have been reported as a result of self-isolation.
The Sinn Fein TD says that two thirds of Leaving Certificate students are in favour of the hybrid model and it is important that their voice is heard.
Students from Patrician Academy in Mallow held a demonstration yesterday calling for a hybrid model Leaving Cert.
Donnchadh O Laoghaire, told RedFM News that clarity is needed as soon as possible.
