Interim CMO encourages people to get Covid booster

The interim chief medical officer is encouraging people to top-up their protection against Covid-19.
There’s been a 23% increase in the number of patients in Irish hospitals with the virus in the past week.
Professor Breda Smyth says every additional Covid patient adds strain to the hospital system as it heads into what’s expected to be an “extremely busy period.”
She reiterated that if you have symptoms of the virus, self-isolate until 48 hours after the symptoms have substantially resolved.
