An investigation has claimed that Tesla owner Elon Musk ordered the company to inflate figures showing the range electric cars it could travel, before they ran out of battery.
It’s claimed that a secret team was formed within the company to hide thousands of complaints, from owners disappointed by their car’s performance.
Tesla had been fined by South Korean regulators earlier this year after finding that three car models ran 26 percent below their advertised ranges.
