Ireland set for hot weather

We’re gearing up for temperatures in the high twenties this week.

Met Éireann’s weather advisory runs until Sunday at midnight.

The forecaster has warned of uncomfortable temperatures at night and possible heat stress.

Meteorologist Aoife Kealy says they’re unsure if the warm weather will continue longer than this week.

“For the moment it looks like we’ll be dealing with the high pressure this week and next weekend.

“At the moment it looks like in the early days of next week the temperatures might drop back.

“That’s still far enough ahead, there’s still plenty of uncertainty in that so we’ll just have to wait and see.”
