An Irish man is receiving emergency treatment in the Bordeaux region of France after an outbreak of Botulism.

He is one of 12 people who became ill after eating sardines at a restaurant.

The city hosted Irish fans last weekend who went to see Ireland play Romania in the opening game of the Rugby World Cup.

The HSE is advising people who were on holiday in the region in France to be aware of the outbreak
