ITV says it’s “deeply disappointed” by Phillip Schofield’s “admissions of deceit” and feels “badly let down”.

The 61-year-old presenter’s apologised to the broadcaster for lying about a relationship with a “younger male colleague” – saying it was ‘unwise, but not illegal’.

Public relations consultant Mark Bor-Koff-Ski’s been analysing the affects on his future in TV.

“Lying to the media, lied to his agents, to the channel, who actually supported him through all this sort of turbulence, it will be highly unlikely that he would find an easy route back onto television and particularly ITV.”
