Kirstie Alley dies age 71

The actress Kirstie Alley has died after a short illness at the age of 71.
In a statement, her children confirmed that their “fierce and loving” mother died after after recently being diagnosed with cancer.
She shot to fame after appearing in the US sitcom Cheers and also starred in films such as Look Who’s Talking alongside John Travolta.
