Large advertising clients on Twitter being warned of ‘high risk platform’

Some of Twitter’s largest advertising clients are being warned that the platform is ‘high risk’.

Reports suggest GroupM, a leading media investment company, is warning clients against advertising on the site.

Other worldwide agencies, such as IPG and the Omnicom Group, have also recommended pausing adverts on Twitter.

Concerns have been raised over ‘parody’ accounts and the firing of those in charge of safety, security and compliance.
