Last Month Was Hottest May On Record At Three Weather Stations In Cork

Last month was the hottest May on record at seven weather stations – three of which were in Cork.
That’s according to Met Éireann’s Monthly Weather Statement for May 2023.
The weather station at Cork Airport broke its own 61-year May temperature record.
In Fermoy, the weather station at Moore Park recorded the warmest May in its 55 year history.
While, a 17-year long record May temperature in Roches Point was also surpassed.
High pressure meant air temperatures were above their Long-Term Average across the country.
