Leamy confirmed as Munster defence coach
Denis Leamy has been confirmed as Munster’s defence coach.
The former Munster and Ireland star has signed a three year deal with the reds, and will take up the position on completion of his deal with Leinster.
Leamy made 144 appearances for his home province as a player, winning Heineken Cup titles in 2006 and 2008.
The Tipperary native worked as an Elite Player Development officer with the blues after joining them in 2019, later becoming contact skills coach with the senior squad at the start of the season.
Leamy was also an assistant coach with the Ireland under 20s last year.
Leamy joins Mike Prendergast and Andi Kyriacou as part of Graham Rowntree’s backroom team for next season.
