Less than 4% of public transport passengers choosing to wear masks

Less than 4% of passengers are wearing face masks on public transport.

That’s according to a survey carried out by the Irish Independent.

The Luas Green Line had the highest compliance rate at 6.4% compared to the lowest rate of mask wearing at 3% on the DART.

While wearing a face covering is no longer mandatory on bus and rail services, the government and transport companies continue to encourage their use.
