Major Upgrade Of Underground Water Network In Rosscarbery To Begin In Coming Weeks
Last updated on
A major upgrade of the underground water network in Rosscarbery is set to begin in the coming weeks.
Nearly 550m of aged water mains will be replaced with new modern pipes as part of Uisce Éireann’s 500 million euro Leakage Reduction Programme.
The water utility believes that the upgrades will provide a more reliable water supply and reduce the amount of treated drinking water lost to leakage in the Owenahincha area of Rosscarbery.
Road closures will be required along the R598 and Cois Farraige roads, but works are due to be completed by May.
