Man In Critical Condition After Assault In Arklow On Tuesday

A man’s in critical condition after he was assaulted in Arklow, County Wicklow on Tuesday.

Gardaí were alerted to the incident at a property in Ashfield Estate around half two in the morning.

A man in his 40s was discovered with wounds to his head – he was taken to St Vincent’s hospital to be treated for his injuries, and was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.

Investigations are ongoing – Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who were in the Ashfield Estate area between half 12 and half 2 on Tuesday morning to come forward.
