Mother Of Murdered Irish Boxing Champion Kevin Sheehy Seeking Face-To-Face Meeting With Justice Minister
The mother of murdered Irish boxing champion Kevin Sheehy says she’s seeking a face-to-face meeting with the Justice Minister over the decision to grant her son’s killer a transfer to a UK jail.
Logan Jackson from Coventry was sentenced to life, after repeatedly hitting 20 year old Kevin Sheehy with a 4×4, in an unprovoked attack in Limerick almost 4 years ago.
Kevin’s mother Tracey Tully says the decision this week to grant the prison-transfer, has put her family back into a nightmare:
“I feel like my soul has been destroyed. That my son, who was a five-time Irish champion boxer, he was reared very well… His one aspect in life was to put his town and his city on the map. At a very young age, he knew this is possible. Kevin was primed and ready for the Olympics, and it’s such a huge, huge let-down”.
