People will be asked to reduce their electricity consumption during peak hours, under new EU measures.
Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said sanctions on Russia will remain, as a price for Putin’s ‘death and destruction’.
Ursula von der Leyen also spoke of the EU plans for caps on energy companies making large profits.
In her State of the Union Address this morning she said targeted support is needed now.
